Brad Porter

Brad Porter

An Emmy winning anchor/reporter, Porter has been with Metro Sports since it launched Dec. 12, 1996. Porter regularly covers the biggest sporting events, which includes the NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four, the Big 12 Basketball Championships, Chiefs, Royals, Wizards, as well as major colleges and high schools. He lives in the beautiful Waldo area of Kansas City with his family.

Chris Gough

Chris Gough

Chris is a Mizzou grad with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. After college, he went to work as a television writer for World Wrestling Entertainment in Stamford, Connecticut. In 2004, Chris returned to his hometown to begin work as an anchor and reporter for Metro Sports in Kansas City.

David Neilson

David Neilson

David Neilson’s primary duties are in master control ensuring broadcasts go on-air without a hitch. However, possessing versatility, he’s appeared on Metro Sports Talk and Bragging Rights offering his opinion on a variety of sports-related issues. Neilson’s knowledge of sports, specifically the National Football League, led to Metro Sports appointing him as a co-host for the national fantasy football show, Fantasy Huddle.

Dave Stweart

Dave Stewart

Broadcast veteran Dave Stewart made the jump to Time Warner Cable as Senior On Air Personality in September 2001. He previously worked as Sports Director of KMBC, the local ABC affiliate. Dave's broadcasting honors include two Regional Emmys and the Joe McGuff Sports Journalist of the Year Award. He grew up in Overland Park and is a graduate of SM South High School and Kansas State University.

Erik Ashel

Erik Ashel

An Emmy winning producer, Ashel, who joined Metro Sports in 2004, also serves as an anchor and reporter. Originally from Wichita, Kansas, Ashel is a 2000 graduate from the University of Kansas. Erik’s television career began as a sports reporter/photographer at KTKA in Topeka.

Herbie Teope

Herbie Teope

Herbie Teope joined Metro Sports in June 2006 as a sports writer for the website. An award-winning writer and member of the Pro Football Writers of America, Teope is the creator, producer and featured analyst for Time Warner Cable’s Emmy award-winning program, “Fantasy Huddle.” The show is distributed nationally to TWC systems.

Kennetra Pulliams

Kennetra Pulliams

Kennetra is excited to be back in Big 12 country. A University of Texas graduate, she's worked in Abilene, TX as well as Richmond, VA. Aside from an obvious love of sports, Kennetra also enjoys reading, going to the grocery store and watching Food Network.

Leif Lisec

Leif Lisec

Lisec joined Metro Sports in 2004 and has covered the World Series, Super Bowl and the NCAA Men’s Final Four. A 1985 graduate of the University of Kansas, Lisec has roots in Kansas City and is a proud 1981 graduate of Park Hill High School.

Mick Shaffer

Mick Shaffer

Shaffer, a four-time Emmy winning anchor/reporter, joined Metro Sports in 2001 and has covered Chiefs training camp, the Gateway Football Conference, the Missouri Valley Basketball Conference, NCAA Men's Final Four and high school sports. Originally from Caldwell, Kan., Shaffer lives in Johnson County with his family.

Metro Sports, part of the Kansas City division of Time Warner Cable, is Kansas City's 24-hour all-sports television network. It's shown on Time Warner Cable Channel 30 (310 Digital) and in HD on Channel 1310. Metro Sports 2 on Channel 311.
